Judith M. Sander was born and grew up in San Diego, California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from San Diego State University in 1971 and moved to Oregon with her husband and young daughter in 1981. This is where she continues to live and work. Her studio, situated in a quaint cottage at the end of a country road, is filled with bins of objects that eventually become part of her mixed media collages.
